American Academy Award of Ophthalmology was given to the SBMU professor of ophthalmology
The American Academy Award of Ophthalmology was given to Dr. Alireza Baradaran Rafiee, Researcher and SBMU Professor.
The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) granted its 2015 Achievement Award to three Iranian ophthalmologists; Dr. Alireza Baradaran Rafiee, Researcher and SBMU professor, Dr. Alireza Lashiee from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and Dr. Mohammad Mehdi Parvaresh.
Annually, this academy nominates some ophthalmologists from the US and other countries based on their scientific and research experience to grant them with the Academy Award. Nominees are then evaluated and assessed according to some certain criteria including their scientific and research activities, experience of collaboration with AAO, article and poster submission to AAO, etc.
Ultimately, having carried out necessary assessments based on nominees’ scores, AAO grants its Achievement Award to selected scientists.
